The write impression

Whilst on a trip to Toronto, Canada, to visit my brother and sister-in-law, I visited one of my all time favourite places...Write Impressions on Bayview Ave - a stationery and trinkets shop that is filled with all types of treasures. All that my suitcase could afford to squeeze in though was this little birdy, which I thought summed up the atmosphere of the place at the time...thanksgiving, Autumn leaves and blue skies.

I politely asked if I could take a few shots as a momento. The photos however, simply do not do the space justice. You'll just have to go there and see for yourself!

Cuppa tea time

Decorating an assortment of cardboard die cuts is something I am having a lot of fun with at the moment. I handed this one onto my friend Sarsha...someone who is always up for a cuppa and a catch up!

Petit fleur

Although it's not quite spring yet, the little flowers in my garden are telling me that it's just around the corner.
The violas are like smiling little faces...

...and are a nice bed for my topiaries. I love being greeted by their little grins when I come home at the end of a big day.

The cyclamens are loving the cold nights and are enjoying their second flower after Winter.

Herbs are a plenty...

...as are the pelargoniums.

The jasmine sleeps all year in waiting for a two week explosion of flower and fragrance. Just glorious!

Strategically planted near the back door, it is a rush of perfume that comes in whenever I open it...

...and a little jasmine goes a long way in any room.

Saturday afternoon reading...

There's nothing I love more on a Saturday afternoon, than curling up on my bed with a cuppa and the latest issue of UK Country Living magazine. Here's a snippet of just some of its visual pleasures...

Budoir bliss

My bedroom in another life! Gorgeous!

I love the simplicity of this room. It actually looks almost identical to our bedroom at the moment.

This one is so warm and cosy.

I adore the mirror display above this bed. A great way to display collectibles and treasures.
An alcoved window seat has always been on my wish list!

I love walking into our bedroom each day, either to lay on the bed with a book or just to pass through midway through an errand. However, I never seem to stop fluffing it up, changing things around and looking for ways to warm up its pale blue and white scheme. These are a few of my favourite budoirs that I turn to for inspiration. Hope you enjoyed them too xx

Dressed up chocolate!

Embellished chocolate blocks! An idea I stole from a local boutique. They caught my eye in the shop but the price tag made my eyes bulge...$12.95! Mmmm, I thought. I am positive that I can do that myself. I love the result! So simple but so cute. A perfect sweet treat for any girly girl!

Washer Woman

Our little nest is just about feathered...the bathroom, the kitchen and bedrooms...all projects that have been seen to completion. However, my laundry is in the garden shed. Looking at these pictures of heavenly laundry rooms makes me itch with a yearning to bring out the hammer and nails once again. Surely Mr won't think I'm asking to much?
